IRVINE, CA-Recognizing a cautiously resurgent housing-development market, Colliers International has added two residential land specialists to its investment-sales division. Salvatore Provenza and Curt Crandall have joined the firm as SVPs and will be based in Colliers' regional headquarters here.

The two had previously co-founded CWP Advisors, a boutique receivership, management and brokerage firm that was instrumental in providing advisory services to homebuilders during the economic downturn. They have also provided land-advisory services to major homebuilders and land developers in Southern California.

“Homebuilders, who are already under a microscope by economists and government officials as they attempt to measure the strength of the economic recovery, have a resource in this team that can assist in their selection of where and what to build and when to build it,” said Martin Pupil, president of the firm's southwest region, in a prepared statement. “Their combined market knowledge and their proven record of success working for some of the nation's largest housing developers is proof of the expertise they bring to our firm.”

Provenza added in the statement that he and Crandall now have the capabilities and resources of a national firm that they can bring to bear for their clients in the distinct and very challenging regional markets of Southern California and the West. “With the largest population base in the US, and demand for new housing beginning to rise again, our clients depend on us to help locate buildable tracts of land. Colliers gives us the added resources to provide best-in-class advisory services.”

As GlobeSt.com had previously reported exclusively and tweeted on @GlobeStcom on Twitter and @GlobeStLIVE, Patrick Toomey recently joined Colliers International as a SVP. The move adds strategic depth to Colliers' investment capabilities on the West Coast.
