CHICAGO – J.C. Anderson, Inc. announced late last week that the firm had completed a 65,000-square-foot interior renovation for the Attorneys' Liability Assurance Society, Inc. at Chicago's 311 South Wacker Drive. ALAS was established in 1979 as a mutual insurance company owned entirely by its insured member firms. The risk management retention group maintains its principal office in Chicago which serves as the primary insurance company to ALAS membership. The group insures 229 firms and approximately 58,900 lawyers throughout 45 states.
J.C. Anderson was contracted by ALAS to complete a phased, three-floor remodel of the ALAS Chicago office space located on the 55th, 56th, and 57th floors. The project included the construction of millwork office stations, millwork office fronts with artistic etched glass, fabric wall-coverings and new carpeting throughout the space.
J.C. Anderson's Tom Raveret was the project executive and Sara Schumacher was the project manager. PGAI Design Partners provided the architectural services. Constructed in 1990, 311 S. Wacker was designed by Kohn Pederson Fox Associates.
