LOS ANGELES-The Berzack Group has changed its name to Berzack Investment Property Advisors, a move to better reflect the range of the company's services, according to president Warren Berzack.

Berzack, which joined with brokerage Lee & Associates-LA North/Ventura Inc. two years ago, claims it has sold over one billion dollars in transactions while specializing in multifamily investment sales across greater Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.

“Last year we started thinking about what we can do to really define the services we provide,” Berzack tells GlobeSt.com. “There's a lot of real estate companies that have 'The' and 'Last name' and 'Group.' So we felt we needed a name change and thought of a lot of different variations. We wanted to do something a little more well-rounded, for lack of a better term.”

The commercial real estate group does a lot of triple net leases, Berzack says. “We provide more of an advisory service. A lot of times we're doing a lot of strategic planning so (clients) can move forward with their holdings.” The company decided to go for only a slight modification in the name in order to maintain the brand identity, he says. “It has some renown among apartment owners in the market.”

Changing the name will cost over $50,000, as stationery, signage and a new web site (www.berzackadvisors.com) reflect the switch, Berzack says.

The Los Angeles market outlook this year should continue to be “extremely strong,” Berzack says, with active buyers driven by low interest rates. “Nothing will change until interest rates do.” Berzack added that rents won't see a huge increase “until the economy picks up.”
