SAN FRANCISCO-Cassidy Turley has added James W. Arce as senior managing director of the west region. In his new position, Arce will take a leadership role in account management and business development efforts as Cassidy Turley expands its property and facility management and project leasing business lines across the region and US.

Arce will also lead Cassidy Turley's property management efforts in the Western US, including Northern California, Los Angeles, San Diego and Arizona.

He spent 12 years at Cushman & Wakefield, from 2000 to April 2012, and over that span, he vastly expanded the firm's scope with property management clients such as AEGON, CW Capital, MetLife, Prudential and JP Morgan and facilities management and corporate services clients such as Sun Microsystems (now Oracle), Symantec, eBay, CitiGroup, and Pacific Gas & Electric.

He most recently served as executive managing director of client solutions, at Cushman & Wakefield. In this capacity, he served as head of investor services for the US, responsible for agency leasing and property management with an additional focus on building a national account management platform in collaboration with capital markets and project leasing.

He also has previously held executive and management positions at Wilson Cornerstone Properties and RREEF and owned Arce Construction Co., a general contractor specializing in renovation and rehabilitation.

Arce left Cushman & Wakefield in April 2012 to take a sabbatical. During this time he has been teaching Commercial Real Estate Financial Management at San Francisco State University and lending his skills and expertise to the nonprofit world. At the close of his sabbatical, according to a prepared statement, he weighed a number of options and ultimately chose Cassidy Turley.

“Jim is one of the leading investor services executives in the industry, and his addition further strengthens our established team in the Western US,” says Michael Kamm, president of Cassidy Turley. “In Northern California, the Western US and nationally, we've competed against Jim for years and know what he brings to our firm. He is an outstanding addition.”

Marla Maloney, executive managing director and principal of Cassidy Turley, adds that “Jim grasps the financial aspects and best practices involved with asset management, property management and project leasing as well as the 'soft' skills involved with providing exceptional client service—a unique and rare combination that enables us to truly add value for our clients and their assets.”

“Cassidy Turley is a growing and dynamic company, and its culture embodies the collaborative and client-centric approach that leads to sustainable, long-term success for clients, the company and employees,” Mr. Arce said. “That combination appealed to me and is a perfect fit.”
