LOS ANGELES-Darren Shibuya is joining DTZ Group as SVP in Transaction Advisory, based in the firm's west L.A. office.
Shibuya (who is not related to DTZ Group President Robert Shibuya) joins DTZ after 20 years as Principal in the Cresa L.A. office, where he specialized in corporate tenant representation. He advised people in over 100 cities across the U.S. Among his clients represented were Kaplan, Red Bull, HD Supply, Brandman University, The Art Institute, Education Affiliates, J.D. Edwards, Ticketmaster Online – CitySearch, Reebok International Ltd. and Humana.
His appointment continues DTZ's reorganization of its executive management team. The firm has added senior executives in brokerage and consulting since last fall.

A graduate of the University of Southern California, with a B.S. degree in Business Administration & Finance, Mr. Shibuya is professionally involved with the Los Angeles Commercial Realty Association (LACRA); and a Past President of the CoreNet Global Southern California Chapter.
