New Davie Walmart Employs 300

MIAMI-Unique to this store in "horse country" is an agricultural feed supply section, where local residents can buy feed for farm animals.

MIAMI-A new Walmart Supercenter opened on Wednesday. The 154,4000-square-foot store is located at 4301 S. University Drive, and brought 300 new jobs to the area. 

Cowboys on horseback served as greeters to celebrate the store’s grand opening in “horse country.” Davie Mayor Judy Paul and local organizations Davie Police Athletic League, Ease Foundation, Inc. and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida attended the grand opening ceremony. Walmart and the Walmart Foundation presented $3,750 in grants to Make-a-Wish.
