EDISON, NJ-Gebroe-Hammer recently managed the sale of 21 units at Winding Woods in Edison, and tells GlobeSt.com there was “tremendous” interest in the renovated complex set in a commuter-friendly locale.

Joseph Brecher, G-H's managing director, exclusively represented the seller in the deal. The unidentified buyer paid $2.215 million for the property at 1880 Woodbridge Ave., adjacent to Highland Park in the northern part of MiddlesexCounty.

“There was tremendous investor interest in this asset due to its prime location, the added value of recent capital improvements and the area's strong renter population,” Brecher said. Most of the units had been recently renovated, he added.

Winding Woods has one- and two-bedroom units, on-site parking and laundry facilities. Rents range from $725 to $1,375, according to the broker. The property offers easy access to routes 18 and 287, and is minutes from the Menlo Park Mall and Middlesex County College.

The township is known for its highly-rated schools and recreational activities, including more than 20 playgrounds, softball fields and golf courses. The New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center and JFK Medical Center are located within the township.
