FORT WORTH-Local law firm Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff & Miller LLP has signed a lease for more than 36,000 square feet in the five-story Commerce Building, which is currently under construction. The 10-year deal marks the first office lease to be signed at the 83,000-square-feet, mixed-use office and retail building in the Sundance Square area of the CBD.
Commerce Building, located at 420 Commerce St., broke ground in May 2012, along with two other buildings. A spokeswoman for developer Sundance Square tells GlobeSt.com that the law firm, which currently is at 777 Main St. in Fort Worth, will move in this fall, when Commerce Building is completed. She also notes that additional leases are in the pipeline for the Commerce Building, as well as for the neighboring Westbrook and Cassidy buildings.
Shannon, Gracey is taking the top three floors of the building. Remaining available space in the Commerce Building includes a little more than 2,300 square feet of retail space on the first floor facing Commerce Street and 8,400 square feet second floor office space.
Jack Huff and Kyle Poulson from Transwestern's Fort Worth office represented Shannon, Gracey. Sundance Square's director of leasing Bill Booker and senior leasing representative Robert Gamblin represented the developer in house.
