FORT WORTH-Close to two and a half years after leaving Trademark Property Co., Tony Chron has returned to the company in a new role. On April 15, the Texas commercial real estate veteran started his job as chief development officer with the local commercial real estate mixed-use development and investment company.

Chron's new responsibilities involve oversight of Trademark's power and community center development program, along with the company's redevelopment efforts. “Bringing Tony back is an important investment in our development capacity,” comments Trademark chairman andCEO Terry Montesi. “He provides a wealth of knowledge and experience and we are very happy to once again have him at Trademark as our development business gains momentum.”

Chron had been with Trademark between 1997 and 2009 and was senior partner and executive vice president when he departed Trademark in 2009 to work with Halo Cos. Inc. in Allen, TX, he had the position of senior partner and executive vice president. Chron left Halo in September, 2011 to take a job as regional director of development with Weingarten Realty's Houston office.

Chron's additional positions include vice president, real estate, with Michael Stores Inc., Frank's Nursery and Crafts and Sunbelt Nursery Group (a subsidiary of Pier 1 Imports). He was also director of real estate with Pier 1 Imports.
