How many stories do you see appearing in your Facebook feed every day?

Some of these are definitely shared as links, others are posted by pages and still others are suggested to you, as the user, based on how you fill out your profile.

You might have noticed that Globest.com has its own Facebook page. Much like other publications, it makes absolute sense to be active on this platform as people increasingly look to social networks for new information, stories, news and other outlets either to express their personal interest or to have something to read on a long commute home.

However, it's also understood that people like to keep their Facebook profiles somewhat private – this is why, after all, there are so many levels of privacy settings. You can choose who sees your pictures, your friends and even who can add you on the network.

But guess what? When you like a page, other members can't see your information either. The way it works is fairly straightforward: when you choose to like a page, the only person who sees your profile is the page administrator. Even then, he or she does not have access to any of your information other than what you choose to make public. And neither do any of the other group members.

So you could like GlobeSt's page, for instance, and comment on the content, share images and your personal information still remains private.

Since more people are moving their interactions online and sharing their opinions of the day's news, latest stories or other developments, it makes sense to remain informed and current regarding things that are important to you. And if commercial real estate falls into that category, we'd love to hear from you.

How has your business used Facebook to promote its work?
