HOUSTON—The U.S. operations of French energy services company Technip will occupy the full 428,831 square feet of the new 17-story building, Energy Tower III—a spec project under construction in the westside Energy Corridor.

A report from the Houston Chronicle website indicates that the new office will be an expansion for the company, which already occupies space in two nearby buildings in the same complex.

Demand for office space has increased, as has the climate in Houston's energy driven economy. That has lead to some large-scale lease renewals and expansions.

The new Technip building is scheduled for completed in January. It is part of a larger site that includes two other office buildings and an Embassy Suites hotel.

Developed by Mac Haik Reaty, the 1.5 million-square-foot complex may include a fourth office building.
