SAN JOSE, CA-Those who follow @GlobeStcom on Twitter and @GlobeStLIVE may have seen a post teasing the announcement, but GlobeSt.com has learned that Orange County, CA-based Bixby Land Co. has signed an eight-year lease with Nimble Storage to occupy a newly redesigned 165,000-square-foot Silicon Valley office campus at River Oaks Parkway and Zanker Road here. The developer transformed the three-building project in June 2012 into “a vibrant work environment to meet the needs of today's workforce.”

According to company president and CEO, Bill Halford, “Companies are increasingly seeking office space with dynamic, collaborative work environments and high quality amenities in order to attract and retain top talent.” Bixby incorporated significant upgrades to building elevations in its contemporary redesign.

Nimble Storage is a rapidly growing storage software company that develops flash-optimized storage architecture, according to a prepared statement. The firm will use the new location for its US headquarters, and also operates with offices in Australia, Germany and the U.K. Nimble Storage is relocating from a neighboring location on Zanker Road.

The total lease consideration is valued in excess of $31 million. Bixby was represented by Steve Horton, Kelly Yoder and Erik Hallgrimson of Cassidy Turley.

Steve Lico and David Tipton of Cresa Partners represented the tenant.

This transaction represents the second corporate headquarter project completed and leased by Bixby Land Company in Silicon Valley in the past year, according to a prepared statement. The firm previously leased a two-building, 127,000-square-foot office campus to Infoblox in May 2012, as GlobeSt.com reported.

Bixby Land Co. also notes that it plans a May 2013 announcement for yet another major office campus redesign in San Jose.

GlobeSt.com will post more information on that office campus as more information becomes available.
