CHICAGO- Newmark Grubb Knight Frank announced this week that they have completed negotiations for an 86,000-square-foot industrial lease in Buffalo Grove with NorthShore Care Supply on behalf of the building's owner, a private partnership.

Developed in 1986, the building sits on five acres at 1200 Barclay Boulevard and includes 10,500-square-feet of office space, 21-foot-clear ceiling heights, eight interior docks, one drive-in door and parking for 71 cars.

Joel Friedland and Steve Stone, the principal and senior associate of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, represented the owner. Zach Graham from CBRE represented NorthShore Care Supply.

NorthShore will relocate from nearby Northbrook and lease the entire building. The transaction represents a significant space expansion for NorthShore, an online retailer of incontinence supplies specializing in high absorbency adult diapers and youth diapers.

Unlike NorthShore, many companies in the same Lake County submarket have not recovered from the economic crisis and have been squeezing into smaller spaces. In February, for example, GlobeSt.com reported that The Shamrock Companies, Inc. had moved from a larger space into a 15,000-square-foot combined office and warehouse facility on the 1400 block of Barclay, also in Buffalo Grove. Late last year, Colliers said the Lake County industrial market was characterized by “sluggish user demand.”
