HOUSTON—Transwestern's Houston headquarters has been awarded the office leasing assignment for a 125,000-square-foot, Class A office building, slated to begin construction in the next two to three months, in LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch, a mixed-use development in Greater Katy / West Houston.

LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch is a 34-acre Main Street-style town center development located within Cinco Ranch, one of the nations' top-selling master-planned communities. LaCenterra offers an open-air, pedestrian-friendly environment highlighted by lush landscaping, water features and outdoor common areas. It is currently home to more than 50 distinctive retailers and restaurants, as well as 90,000 square feet of Class A office space.

Developed and managed by Houston-based Vista Companies in partnership with Denver-based Amstar, LaCenterra opened in March 2007 with 170,000 square feet of retail space and 90,000 square feet of Class A office space, all of which is currently 100 percent leased. Phase II of the mixed-use project is comprised of the new office building, which includes an additional 130,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space currently under construction, and a 300-unit luxury residential project. As an additional feature of the Phase II expansion, LaCenterra will add an outdoor event center called Central Green, which is being developed in partnership with the Willow Fork Drainage District. Phase III of the development is an additional multifamily project.
