Mobile Jobs

Monster.com entered the employment scene in April 1994. Over the twenty years since Internet recruiting emerged, online sourcing for candidates has become a significant force in the business of talent acquisition. Since the early days of Monster, industry-specific and functional sites have become the most powerful recruiting portals, such as SelectLeaders which dominates the real estate segment, and a plethora of specialty sites such Dice.com that serve the technology space. However, the most powerful tool for the connection of employers and talent is increasingly the smartphone. Technology-research firm IDC has predicted that mobile devices will overtake desktop and laptop computers as Americans' preferred method for accessing the Internet by 2015. This phenomena is likely to accelerate the online recruiting agenda as connectivity between recruiters and talent happens 24/7, on the bus, at the airport, or while on a Sunday stroll in the park.
