SOMERSET, NJ-More than 700 attendees at NAIOP's 26th annual Commercial Real Estate Awards Gala at the Palace at Somerset Park applauded Deal of the Year winners in the following categories:

OFFICE-Bayer's purchase of the former Alcatel-Lucent property in Whippany to become its East Coast headquarters. Cushman & Wakefield brokered the deal; Vision Equities developed and completely renovated the property. Rubenstein Partners was the capital partner; Resource Realty was a consultant.

INDUSTRIAL-Ahold eCommerce/Peapod and Imperial Paper Bag's lease of the Pulaski Distribution Center under construction in Jersey City. Jones Lang LaSalle was the broker for Prologis Ports, the developer; CBRE secured 345,000 square feet at the building for the Peapod online grocery company.

CREATIVE-Transformation and lease of functionally obsolete buildings in Parsippany as headquarters for Biomet Spine and Bone Healing Technologies and Ferring Pharmaceuticals. Cushman & Wakefield, Prism Capital Partners (the landlord) and Jones Lang LaSalle were all parties to the deal.

Also at the gala, Steven J. Pozycki, founder and CEO of SJP Properties, took home a Lifetime Achievement Award The Kushner Real Estate Group and Prism Capital Partners were honored with Impact awards. The Industry Service Award was presented to HFF.
