MINNEAPOLIS- The Trammell Crow Company announced yesterday that the firm, through its subsidiary High Street Residential, will begin developing a six-story, 260,000-square-foot building with 165 luxury residential units on two acres in suburban Golden Hills. The project, which the firm calls "Arcata", will sit near the Colonnade Office Tower, the Golden Hills Office Center on Golden Hills Drive and The Shops at West End. Construction will begin in the third quarter of this year.

Investment Real Estate Trust Properties, which owns and operates multi-family residential properties and commercial office, medical, industrial and retail properties located mostly in the upper Midwest, will be a partner on the project and ESG Architects of Minneapolis will serve as lead architect. Trammell Crow is a subsidiary of Los Angeles-based CBRE Group, Inc.

"Arcata provides an opportunity for residents to live in a centrally located, accessible, amenity driven and employment rich suburb of Minneapolis-St. Paul,” says Grady Hamilton, principal and head of Trammell's Midwest Business Unit.
