NEW YORK CITY-In a big Midtown leasing transaction, Jack Resnick & Sons has signed a long-term renewal with Lenox Hill Hospital/North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, Inc. at 110 E. 59thStreet. The healthcare concern has re-upped its agreement for three full floors—comprising 70,434 square feet of space—for another 15 years at Resnick's signature office tower.

North Shore-LIJ Health System, which acquired Lenox Hill Hospital in 2010, will continue to occupy the entire 8th, 9th and 10th floors in the 37-story blockthrough Class A office building between Park and Lexington Avenues. Constructed by Resnick in 1968, the asset spans 612,181 square feet. North Shore will use the space for doctor's offices.

Dennis Brady, executive managing director of Resnick, represented the building owner while Brian Waterman, vice chairmanand Brent Ozarowski, managing directorof Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the tenant.

“As North Shore-LIJ expands its New York City presence, we are pleased that 110 East 59th Street will remain a key Manhattan location for this highly respected healthcare organization,” says Jonathan Resnick, president of Jack Resnick & Sons, in the announcement.

Other major tenants in the building, where asking rents are in the mid $70 range, include Cantor Fitzgerald, Estee Lauder, IMAX Corp., Four Season Hotels and RP Management.

North Shore-LIJ-owned facilities house about 5,000 beds, employ more than 9,500 nurses and have affiliations with more than 7,500 physicians. Its workforce of about 38,000 is the largest on Long Island and the ninth-largest in New York City.
