CHARLOTTE, NC-Portman Holdings of Atlanta is gearing up marketing efforts in preparation to build a 15-story office building next to its Westin Charlotte Hotel.

The 345,000-square-foot office building would be built over the parking deck of the 29-story Westin hotel on College Street, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.

Travis Garland, leasing manager with Portman, says the firm is prepared to begin construction quickly once the development secures tenants.

“We're more than shovel ready,” he says. “We're ready to go vertical immediately, so we have a huge advantage on timing over anybody else that may be talking about a building right now.”

Peter Conway and John Ball at Trinity Partners are working with Garland on leasing the building. See story in the Charlotte Business Journal.
