ONTARIO, CA-Those who follow @GlobeStcom on Twitter and @GlobeStLIVE may have seen a post teasing the announcement, but GlobeSt.com has exclusively learned that CBRE has hired Joe Cesta to lead the firm's Inland Empire Region. Cesta will be based in the Ontario office, and as managing director, will oversee the delivery of CBRE's comprehensive services platform in the two-county region.

Cesta most recently served as the regional manager and VP for Marcus & Millichap's Orange County region, and prior to that, spent two years leading their Inland Empire office. He began his commercial real estate career with Marcus & Millichap in 2001, where he was a top producing retail investment professional.

Marcus & Millichap did not return GlobeSt.com's inquiry for comment regarding the move.

“Throughout my career, CBRE has always been the premier firm, and they've continued to get stronger as the company has built its integrated services platform around client needs,” explains Cesta. “It's an exciting time to be joining this company, and I'm looking forward to leading a team that includes some of the best professionals in the region.”

Cesta tells GlobeSt.com that the Inland Empire is one of the most diverse and dynamic markets in Southern California. “It's nice to be back here at a time when we're seeing a steady recovery and strengthening of overall market fundamentals,” he says. “Not only is the industrial market experiencing strong demand from companies across the nation, but we are also seeing recovery in the housing market and projected job growth, which over time, should boost the Inland Empire's retail and office markets as well.”

“Joe has proven himself to be a highly capable leader, having successfully and profitably run brokerage operations in Southern California for several years,” explains Lewis C. Horne, executive managing director for CBRE's Greater Los Angeles and Orange County Region.

Cesta will take over the role from Kevin Aussef who was recently promoted to lead CBRE's Private Capital Group nationally.

GlobeSt.com recently chatted with Aussef regarding lenders and borrowers getting smarter about their LTV or debt coverage. Click here to read the full article.
