CHICAGO—MB Real Estate's EVP/Managing Director Mark Buth and Vice President Kathleen Bertrand have just completed a 112,000-square-foot lease renewal for Omnicom Group, Inc. at Chicago's Michigan Plaza. Omnicom, a global advertising and marketing communications services company, has now leased more than 212,000 square feet at the property in the past 12 months and is the second largest tenant at the property.

“We spent several years strategizing and establishing the property as a hub for the marketing group, and those efforts have paid off substantially in the past year,” says Buth. Recent relocations to the 1.9-million-square-foot property include a 19,000-square-foot lease to Corbett Healthcare, relocating from 111 E. Chicago; a 51,000-square-foot lease to Energy BBDO, coming from the Wrigley Building; a 15,000-square-foot lease to TPN Inc., which relocated from 500 N. Michigan Ave.; and a 15,000-square-foot lease to Resolutions Media, which relocated from 314 W. Superior. These firms are all members of the Omnicom group.

The two-building office complex is located at 205-225 N. Michigan Ave. in the downtown East Loop. MBRE leases and manages Michigan Plaza on behalf of ownership and has represented the property since 2005. Michigan Plaza was recently granted LEED-EB Gold certification and also has new tenant amenities including a state-of-the-art conference center and a fully-equipped fitness facility with locker rooms.
