PHILADELPHIA-Subaru of America Inc. is said to be seriously considering the Navy Yard here as a potential site for its North American headquarters.
The company is in the market for approximately 225,000 square feet and could possibly relocate to the Navy Yard from its current 115,000-square-foot headquarters facility in Cherry Hill, NJ where it has operated since 1986, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Subaru of America also has an operations center in a 59,000-square-foot building in Pennsauken, NJ and has a regional office and warehouse in Westampton, NJ. NFI Real Estate of Cherry Hill broke ground last August on a 526,050 square-foot building at NFI Park at Florence Crossings in Florence, NJ that will serve as a distribution center and training facility for Subaru. See story in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
