DOYLESTOWN, PA-Officials with the Pine Run Retirement Community say that an $11-million renovation of its health center will begin in July.

Extensive renovation work is planned for the five-story center that serves short and long-term rehab patients, according to Phillyburbs.com. Pine Run is owned by Doylestown Hospital.

Pine Run Executive Director Cathleen Q. Stewart termed the $11-million initiative as the most significant renovation project of the 43-acre retirement community. The plans calls for creating private rooms with full baths for all short-term patients and most long-term residents, a new bistro-style dining area available on each floor and a renovated central kitchen.

“It will enhance the physical space and the quality of life for people who live and rehab here,” Stewart says. The renovation project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2015. See story at Phillyburbs.com.
