NEW YORK CITY-Boasting more than 1 billion users worldwide and $60 billion of market value, Facebook is considering taking 160,000 additional square feet of office space in Manhattan, reports Crain's New York Business. Currently based in California's Menlo Park, Facebook is said to be negotiating to lease the entire seventh and eighth floors at 770 Broadway, a home to media companies past and present, including Nielsen and AOL/the Huffington Post.

The 15-story office building, which occupies the full block between East Eighth and East Ninth streets, is owned by Vornado Realty Trust, a REIT.
