CALABASAS, CA–Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services has upped Tony Solomon to VP. He currently serves as regional manager of the firm's West Los Angeles office, a position held since 2011.

“Tony brings extensive knowledge and experience to the position of vice president gained from his time as a successful sales agent and in his management roles with the firm,” said a statement from John J. Kerin, the firm's president and CEO. “He will continue to be a great resource for our clients and agents in Los Angeles and throughout Southern California.”

Solomon began his career with Marcus & Millichap in May, 1998, serving as an investment property specialist in the Los Angeles office. He became the sales manager of the Los Angeles office in July, 2000.

After leaving the firm in 2001 and earning recognition as a top multifamily broker at two other commercial real estate companies, Solomon returned as sales manager of Marcus & Millichap's West Los Angeles office in 2010.

Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Solomon worked for several years as a land use consultant for a number of domestic oil companies. He is also a feature-length film screenwriter and member of the Writers Guild of America, West.

Solomon graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in political science, with an emphasis in international relations and a minor in Japanese.

As reported earlier by GlobeSt.com, Marcus & Millichap's recent webcast saw experts conclude that the multifamily outlook appears solid.
