An Indestructable Smartphone?

We’ve all felt it. That moment, that instance when one’s smartphone slips neatly off the chair or table and goes hurtling towards the floor. If you’re a runner, you’ve probably been trotting along, checking an email or a message and then suddenly…your hands are too sweaty and away shoots the phone, straight towards the ground. However, my personal favorite disaster situation occurs in the kitchen when, in the midst of cooking, you go to answer a text and instead of gingerly picking up the device, it flies off the counter and down towards the floor.

Now, imagine you’re a construction worker or architect constantly out and about checking on active projects. You need to be in touch with clients, checking in with documents and most likely, confirming and reconfirming details which will likely have been embedded in past emails. A slick smartphone isn’t going to help, particularly if your job involves spending copious time on the construction site.
