PRINCETON, NJ-Choose New Jersey has launched a website that provides searchable databases of available commercial real estate and industrial real estate throughout the state.

The new web-based tool is sponsored by Brandywine Realty Trust, C&K Properties and Jones Lang LaSalle. The firms helped develop the site, according to Choose New Jersey's Tracye McDaniel.

Owners, developers, brokers and building representatives pay a fee to have their properties featured on the site. Fees begin at $250, for listing a single property for a year.

"ChooseNJSites.com gives property owners and real estate brokers the opportunity to increase the visibility of available commercial properties and sites in New Jersey to an influential audience of corporate executives with site selection responsibilities" said McDaniel, president and CEO of Choose NJ.

For those working on site selection, the tool allows makes it easy to identify industry clusters and view layers of information, she said. One recent survey indicated that corporate executives and site consultants do online searches 50% of the time to fulfill the due diligence process.

Employing geographic software, the tool allows users to search for available property based on size and type.

Also:

  • Reports on labor force, education levels, consumer spending and other demographic information can be generated.
  • Existing businesses can be mapped by industry, showing distribution and concentrations throughout the state.
  • Dynamic mapping capability allows community profiling with layered information, such as location of schools, hospitals and railroads.
  • Fiber lines and cell phone towers can be mapped.

"The tool provides a 'one-stop-shop' on the web, reducing research time from months to minutes," said Michael Henderson, research manager.

Choose New Jersey is one of four elements of the Partnership for Action economic development organization led by Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno. It also includes the Business Action Center, the Secretary of Higher Education and the state Economic Development Authority.

The new site is accessible here.
