BOSTON–Avison Young has brokered a 54,849-square-foot lease renewal at the John Hancock Tower, 200 Clarendon Street. Principals Jack Kerrigan, Karyn McFarland and Steve Cook represented the tenant, Oliver Wyman. Avison Young VP Matt Twombly also provided brokerage support. David Provost, SVP and Philip Dorman, VP, represented Boston Properties. The transaction closed at the end of May.
Located in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood, the 62-story, approximately 1,700,000 square foot John Hancock Tower is New England's tallest building. The iconic tower offers 360-degree panoramic views of the Back Bay, Charles River, Cambridge, the Public Gardens, Boston Harbor and the surrounding areas. Oliver Wyman is a management consulting firm and a wholly owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies.
“Oliver Wyman has enjoyed a long term tenancy in the Hancock Tower and is excited to be continuing their tenancy in the Back Bay's premier building,” says Avison Young principal Jack Kerrigan in the announcement.
