SAN JOSE, CA-While the excitement these days at the 1.5-million-square-foot Santana Row is circled around its new resort style residential community, Misora, which will feature 212 rental homes, located behind Diesel and Pasta Pomodoro, set to open later this year, GlobeSt.com was out and about at the property last week—with VIP guests like Vernon Davis of the San Francisco 49ers—to celebrate the retail.

New retailers at the property like Splendid, for example, joined others like Ted Baker and Anthropologie, for the annual fashion event, which featured two runway shows featuring the season's best fashions for women and men.

A portion of ticket sales benefited the Vernon Davis Foundation for the Arts which promotes art education and appreciation among youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. Davis' Gallery 85 at Santana Row helps support his foundation and features work by the athlete as well as other emerging visual artists.

Federal Realty VP Jan Sweetnam, VP of the Western Region and COO of Federal Realty Investment Trust, Santana Row's parent company, previously told GlobeSt.com that “Santana Row is constantly evolving to stay relevant to our customer. Staying on the cutting edge of retail and restaurant concepts is an important part of how we serve our community.”

Check out photos from the event in this slideshow and keep an eye out on GlobeSt.com for more on Santana Row's new residential community is soon to be unveiled.
