CHERRY HILL, NJ-There has been strong recent activity at the business park here, including the $3 million purchase of an industrial/flex condominium by Bestwork Industries for the Blind.
Several other companies recently took new space here and the Garr Group more than doubled its occupancy.
Meanwhile, Grammercy Property Trust recently laid out $4.2 million to acquire a 62,230-square-foot industrial property in nearby Bellmawr. That building is leased to a single tenant through 2022.
Bestwork Industries, which manufactures safety clothing and military clothing for the Army and Navy, moved into 1940 Olney at the Cherry Hill Business Park. Bestwork is a training and job provider for visually-impaired individuals. In addition to clothing manufacture, its employees also provide warehouse & distribution management service, 24/7 telephone switchboard operations, and high-volume order processing.
Garr, a tenant of the park since 2009, expanded at 1 Keystone from 3,000 square feet to nearly 7,000 square feet. Garr is a content provider of DVD and music CDs for retail sales.
Ian Richman of Colliers International, which handles leasing at the business park, said that Tasty Baking Co. also recently relocated its southern New Jersey distribution facility to a 12,000-square-foot warehouse at 3 Esterbrook Lane.
“The convenient location - close to I-295 and the New Jersey Turnpike – was a critical factor in the selection of this site,” he said, “keeping the baking company close to their neighboring client base of supermarkets, convenience stores and other retail outlets.”
In addition, Legacy Pharmacy, an Arizona-based pharmacy, leased 6,650 square feet at 2050 Springdale Road. Legacy also a retail store at this location.
