Op2mize Acquires Hope Energy

DES PLAINES, IL—Op2mize, LLC, has just acquired Hope Energy, LLC, an energy procurement firm. Both companies are based in Des Plaines and have also just launched Op2mize Energy, LLC. Op2mize is a real estate firm that advises property owners and renters on a ‘total cost’ basis, including energy-efficiency, sustainability and technology to help control operating costs. Company officials did not disclose the terms of the acquisition, but did say that Op2mize Energy will take over all of Hope’s more than 100 accounts.

Op2mize Energy will provide strategic electricity and natural gas procurement consultation to owners and renters of commercial real estate. The venture hopes to significantly reduce what its customers spend on utilities while helping them to mitigate market risk.
