Medical Emergency

The 2010 "Affordable Care Act" will take effect on January 1, 2014, and at that time, employers with 50 or more employees will be responsible to provide healthcare coverage or face penalties. Alas, there are already indications that it may be less expensive for employers to face penalties than to pay the additional insurance cost. I have also learned from a number of clients in recent weeks that they are experiencing record medical insurance premium increases, and historical insurance pass-through levels to employees exceed their most recent pay increases. The other side effect of this legislation is that quality medical plans will become less attractive, and will move increasingly toward mediocre. Thanks to our legislators, the Affordable Care Act is confounding and confusing, and we really do deserve better than that.

This position will manage eight property managers and 35-plus on-site professionals. Working closely with the owner to enhance and maximize the value of the owner's investment in real estate, the assistant vice president will plan, organize, direct and control the activities of all properties utilizing the resources of NGKF and their team. In addition, this role will participate in the formulation of overall property objectives, policies and plans. Responsibilities include delivering capital projects, maintenance programs, and tenant services.
