MIAMI BEACH—South Beach ACE just won another endorsement in the competition to redevelop the Miami Beach Convention Center and its 52-acre site: The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce. The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce joins dozens of Miami Beach residents, businesses and convention center users that have endorsed South Beach ACE.

The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce based its ACE endorsement on a number of factors. One of the reasons cited: South Beach ACE has provided the Chamber with a line of communication throughout the bid process, while the team's competitor has failed to engage the group.

The Chamber also said the principal team members of South Beach ACE have a long history of supporting minority businesses in the areas of construction and operations. The final reason: South Beach ACE has vowed to include small and minority businesses in their future Miami Beach Convention Center development plans
