EMERYVILLE, CA-ZipRealty, Inc. has released the Seller Center, a groundbreaking suite of tools and services available for the first time ever to help home sellers select the right price for their home.

“We are thrilled to launch a new service line developed solely to meet the needs of home sellers on ZipRealty.com,” says CEO and president Lanny Baker. “Our new Seller Center brings together the many components that are essential in the home-selling process all in one place.”

  • The ZipQuote Estimate Page: A one-stop shop for property value estimates, this page aggregates estimates from four different sources, including the new ResPrice.com home value tool.

  • Interactive Pricing Tool: Custom-built by ZipRealty, this innovative new pricing tool lets owners identify comparable properties and analyze recent home sales trends.

  • Expert Opinion: Local agent experts are available to help refine the listing price, develop a marketing strategy and assist sellers through the listing and selling process.

The ZipQuote Estimate Page allows sellers to compare their home's value using four home value tools, providing sellers with a starting point for pricing their home. Among the home value tools is ResPrice.com, an AVM (automated valuation tool) available exclusively on ZipRealty.com. ResPrice.com uses historical sales, price trends and home characteristics to estimate the current value of a property, according to Jamie Wilson, SVP of technology.

“We created the ZipQuote Estimate Page to give consumers with as many sources of information as possible, so that they can quickly get a ballpark sense of how much their home is worth,” Wilson says.
The interactive pricing tool helps sellers refine their home price estimate by researching comparable home sales in their area, improving their understanding of local real estate sales trends and ultimately attain an informed view of how much their home is worth. The tool compares specific home attributes, including the number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms and total square footage. Users can adjust preset filters to view customized results and select which homes are used in generating a comparables-based estimate of the value of their home. Potential sellers can use these tools to “watch” their home and keep track of its potential sale value, while receiving personalized email updates alerting them to new home listings.
