NEW YORK CITY-Integra Realty Resources announced it has named John Albrecht CEO. Albrecht was most recently managing director of the financial services group at Acxiom Corp., where he led the company into new financial services segments throughout the U.S. and also helped expand the company into the Brazilian and Australian financial markets.

Albrecht—who tells GlobeSt.com he was approached by IRR to take the position—agrees. “IRR is a great brand with a terrific opportunity for growth. The company has an extraordinary network of offices, more MAI-certified appraisers in the field than its competitors and great data assets. With my experience, I believe I can be a catalyst for growth.”

More specifically, Albrecht says, “We will continue to build not only on breadth of database but also make sure that it's usable. If we're helping a client with a CRE transaction, the better we can use our data and expertise to help them make a smart decision, the more likely they'll be to use us in the future.”

Further, he adds, “I will look to optimize the core business, look to add ancillary businesses useful to customers, possibility expand some specialty groups—things like senior housing—to the extent that there's demand, and work on a footprint expansion, both within US and internationally.”

As far what markets he's targeting, Albrecht says, “There are markets that are similar to the US, like the UK and Europe, that make it easy to extend into other markets. Or there may be opportunities to work with certain partners that would enable us to extend into certain markets.”

Clearly his goals are in line with the IRR team. Says Raymond Cirz, chairman of the board, in the announcement. “John brings more than 20 years of management experience in large, geographically diverse markets, and that track record of leadership and successful strategy will help fuel IRR's growing footprint. As our new CEO, John will concentrate on IRR's core valuation and consulting practice, as well as diversifying into other complementary business lines.”

While at Axciom Corp., a data management company, Albrecht managed much of the corporate profit and loss responsibilities. Prior to Acxiom he was VP, business development, US key accounts at MasterCard International. From 2001 to 2005, Albrecht was a founding partner for Top Line Partners, a revenue growth consultancy firm that works with clients in financial services, retail, travel and hospitality, employee benefits, and technology.
