NEW YORK CITY-Japanese retailer Uniqlo has plans to open new stores in Brooklyn and Staten Island this fall, company parent Fast Retailing Co. announced on Thursday.
The new stores, located at the Atlantic Terminal Mall in Brooklyn and the Staten Island Mall, are part of a larger rollout of 10 locations across the U.S., according to Crain's New York Business. Uniqlo currently operates three stores in Manhattan.
Although the company refused to disclose the size of the new locations, they are expected to be smaller than its standard footprint. Its flagship store on Fifth Avenue, for example, is almost 90,000 square feet. See story in Crain's New York Business.
