MORRISTOWN, NJ-The project management firm Gardiner & Theobald has expanded into New Jersey with a new office and leadership team, headed by Brian Tobiasz.

"We have serviced many clients throughout the tri-state area, but recognize the importance of having a dedicated office and team in New Jersey to service the needs of this sophisticated and diverse market," said Jonathan Andrew, senior director of the firm. Tobiasz tells GlobeSt.com that Gardiner & Theobald sees the Garden State as a “natural place to grow” from its New York base.

Tobiasz is a 25-year veteran of project and construction management in New Jersey, having spent nine years with Avison Young – formerly The Walsh Company. In that position, he led firm's growth to more than 45 employees in three states, and oversaw completion of hundreds of projects.

He also held construction management positions with Ivy Realty, Reckson Associates Realty-New Jersey Division, and Hartz Mountain.

“The people at Gardiner and Theobald recognize New Jersey as a distinct marketplace, and believed it necessary to recruit local talent familiar with the lay of the land and clients within the market,” says Tobiasz.

"I am enthusiastic about introducing the Gardiner & Theobald brand to the New Jersey market," he adds. " I know it represents a superior level of quality, dedication and service in our industry, and I am honored to have been recruited to be a local presence for such a well-respected international brand."

Christopher Perruna has been named to direct the New Jersey office. A native of the state, he has 13 years of industry experience, with more than 6 years of project and cost management experience at Gardiner & Theobald for clients in various asset classes - including office, financial, law, healthcare, pharmaceutical, insurance and media.

The company was founded in the UK in 1835, and established in the US 21 years ago. Gardiner & Theobald manages projects for all types of properties and uses – from corporate offices to hotels, museum and stores. In addition to Morristown and New York, the company has offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Miami.
