INDIANAPOLIS—After more than 30 years as the president and CEO of Browning Investments, Michael G. Browning will step down from those positions and John F. Hirschman will take his place effective August 1, 2013. Browning will keep his position as chairman of the company.
Currently a real estate attorney at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP in Indianapolis, Hirschman previously worked as director of development with Browning from 2005 to 2012. He was responsible for managing Browning's joint venture relationships with Duke Realty and Prologis and oversaw the development of multiple business parks and industrial, office and mixed-use facilities.
“I'm excited to be returning to Browning and honored to be leading such a talented group of people,” said Hirschman. “Michael's the best in the business. I plan on stealing a page from his playbook by continuing to have the best development team, customers, projects and partners while investing in the community and having fun.”
“I am thrilled to pass the torch to John, who I know to be talented and thoughtful,” said Browning. “He was the unanimous choice of the Browning team. While I will continue a very active role at the company, I enthusiastically welcome John as our new leader. I am confident in his abilities and excited for the future of the company.”
