PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL-Florida Power & Light Co. secured zoning approvals earlier this week from the Palm Beach Gardens City Council that will allow the utility to proceed with an office campus.

The zone change, approved by the council on Tuesday, changes the allowable use on the property, which sits east of Interstate 95 and north of PGA Boulevard here, from industrial to office. According to the South Florida Business Journal, the amended master plan calls for a 993,000-square-foot complex.

A utility spokesman says that if the company decides to build on the site, the office space would be developed over a 20- to 30-year period. See story in the South Florida Business Journal.
