OCEANPORT, NJ–Barnabas Health, the state's largest healthcare network, has renewed the lease on its 89,000-square-foot office at 2 Crescent Place here., in a deal arranged by Colliers International.

Barnabas Health is the second-largest private employer in New Jersey. Its ten facilities provide treatment and services for more than two million patients annually and include the state's only certified burn treatment facility and only lung transplant program.

John Cunningham, the Colliers' executive who represented Barnabas, said the renewal is a demonstration of continuing strength in the healthcare sector. Cunningham directs the company's Life Sciences practice and belongs to its Healthcare Services Group.

Also, he noted that the healthcare provider showed continued commitment to maintaining a presence in Oceanport. Landlord G.B. Ltd. Operating Co. was represented by John Krok of Byron Real Estate.

Another state healthcare operator, Bayonne Medical Center, relocated its administrative offices from Bayonne to Jersey City two weeks ago, taking 37,000 square feet at 10 Exchange Place. It also owns and administers Hoboken University Medical Center and Jersey City's Christ Hospital, both acquired last year.
