SCOTTSDALE, AZ-TopGolf recently launched construction on its first Arizona location, with approximately 80 people attending the groundbreaking. Those in attendance included representatives from TopGolf, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (the 58,580-square-foot facility is on its land) and developer Alter Group.
The facility is located at 9500 E. Indian Bend Rd. and will offer 3,000 square feet of event space and 102 hitting bays. The completion date is anticipated for spring 2014. ARCO/Murray is the general contractor.
TopGolf develops golf entertainment in which players hit golf balls containing computer microchips that track each shot's accuracy and distance while also awarding points for hitting targets on the outfield. Each facility offers climate-controlled hitting bays and a food and beverage menu crafted by an executive chef. Event spaces are also included.
