FORT LAUDERDALE, FL—Avison Young continues growing its influence in South Florida. The Canadian firm just hired Peyton Moore as a senior associate with the firm's Ft. Lauderdale office.

Moore will focus on representing of owners of class A office properties in South Florida. Specifically, he will execute leasing strategies that maximize the value of office assets.

“Peyton is the most recent in a series of strategic hires and acquisitions which reflects the growing direction of our firm,” says Pike Rowley, managing director and principal at Avison Young. He called Moore's experience in agency leasing “instrumental” to the firm's plans.

Moore was most recently with Colliers International South Florida. Prior to that he served as regional director for Sperry Van Ness where he was responsible for brokerage revenue growth in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama, as well as Costa Rica and Panama. Earlier in his career, he was director of Investor Relations for The Broward Alliance, the public/private partnership for economic development of Broward County.

Over the past 60 days, Avison has announced two new offices—Miami and West Palm—and the addition of 25 plus team members to staff the newest locations. Beyond that, Avison has announced $17 million in sales, 147,000 square feet of office leases, and 454,800 square feet of property management assignments.
