LOS ANGELES-Jonathan Weiner has been named a managing director for CBRE Group Inc.'s Asset Services Engineering Operations, part of its Asset Services business line. CBRE also announced a new online research portal that will make the company's research searchable and more accessible.
Weiner will work with local markets to provide recommendations for tactical and strategic planning as it relates to physical infrastructure across CBRE's Eastern division 190-million-square-foot management portfolio. He will also provide market analysis and asset positioning consultation, assist in acquisition underwriting and due diligence, and support new business development.
“Jon is a great addition to our team, and his two decades of construction and real estate industry experience enhances our ability to deliver the highest level of client service,” says Grayson Gill, COO, Asset Services, CBRE.
Based in Philadelphia, Weiner joins CBRE from G2G, where he was a principal, providing clients with strategic, financial and operational advisory services to support sustainable capital infrastructure projects and energy-efficient operation of commercial real estate portfolios. Prior to G2G, he held positions in senior management with two Big Four firms, where he directed and performed various construction, real estate and tax consulting projects for C-level executives.
Weiner also has four years of experience in mechanical consulting engineering, procurement and estimating. He received an MBA from Drexel University and is a licensed Professional Engineer (Mechanical) and a LEED Accredited Professional.
CBRE Group also launched the Global Research Gateway, a new online portal providing access to CBRE's real estate research, knowledge and insight across all geographies and sectors. The Global Research Gateway brings together CBRE's collective global research intelligence onto a single platform for the first time.
The Gateway will provide access to over 3,000 global, regional and local research reports that the firm produces each year. The Gateway has a register-to-access policy that will allow clients and other visitors to set their own customised preferences.
The online portal will also feature regular video and podcast updates from senior members of CBRE's Global Research & Consulting group and links to the team's social media channels.
Bob Sulentic, president and CEO, CBRE, says the new service has the potential to create “real differentiation for CBRE and enhance our ability to deliver thoughtful, market-leading content to our clients. The CBRE Global Research Gateway is an important step in fulfilling our vision for delivering usable market information and insight to further enhance our position as the recognised global authority on commercial real estate.”
The long-term goal for the portal is to provide increased client personalisation of CBRE research content to clients through bespoke research portals for VIP clients that are tailored to individual requirements.
The new CBRE Global Research Gateway can be accessed here.
