SAN FRANCISCO-Grosvenor Americas has named Tom Ohlson SVP and general manager of San Francisco. In this role, Ohlson will maintain his previous role as SVP and portfolio management while taking on the additional duties of general manager of the company's San Francisco office.

A 26-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, Ohlson has been with Grosvenor Americas since 2003. He is involved in a variety of property types, including retail, office, and residential properties, and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

In addition to Ohlson's appointment, Grosvenor Americas has revealed the promotion of two other professionals in its San Francisco office.

Steve O'Connell, who joined Grosvenor Americas in 2011 as development manager while completing his MBA at the University of California Berkeley's Haas School of Business, has been promoted to VP of development.

Whitney Sylvester, who joined Grosvenor Americas in 2005, has been promoted to Assistant Development Manager, reporting to Mr. O'Connell. She holds a business degree from the University of Richmond.
