NEW YORK CITY-And the contract to redevelop the George Washington Bridge Bus Station goes to….Tutor Perini Corp. The builder landed a $100 million agreement to modernize the outdated facility in Washington Heights, a process that will include quadrupling the building’s existing 30,000 square feet of retail space.  The contract was awarded by the George Washington Bridge Development Venture LLC—the project development partner for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey—of which the principals are SJM Partners and GWB Ninety Nine, LLC.

Construction will start later this year on the improved facility, including its planned 120,000 square feet of retail stores. Among those slated to be at the Bus Station are Marshalls, Blink Fitness, Key Food Supermarket and Gateway News, GlobeSt.com has learned.
