ORLANDO—Keith D. Kite has joined Marcus & Millichap in its National Hospitality Group. From the firm's Orlando office, Kite is charged with helping to grow the practice—and seems well-prepared to do so.

Kite has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality, real estate and construction industries. His background in hotel real estate investments includes ownership, asset management, development, and acquisition experience. He rings experience in structuring investment sales, financing and advisory services to the M&M camp.

“Keith has extensive contacts and relationships with owners and buyers from single assets to multi-unit portfolios and institutional REITs and is a valuable addition to our growing hospitality brokerage team,” says Gregory A. LaBerge, national director of the firm's National Hospitality Group. “His insight and expertise in hospitality delivers the resources necessary to guide buyers and sellers through complex transactions.”

In 2001, Kite founded Kite Properties, an investment, development, and management hospitality firm. He is a multiple hotel award winner including the Connie Award for Hampton Inns and the Hotel of the Year for SpringHill Suites by Marriott. He also won the John H. Schuman Business Leadership Award in 2013.

Kite is a member of the American Hotel and Lodging Association and an allied member of AAHOA, as well as a board member-tourism chair at the Treasure Coast Sports Commission, a division of the Florida Sports Foundation. He holds a bachelor of science degree in construction management from Eastern Michigan University and attended the University of Florida's school of building construction.
