Boston, MA —Avison Young is continuing to grow its presence here. The firm has hired broker Keith Gurtler, naming him principal and managing director of the company's office here.

He previously was executive director of the capital markets group at Cushman & Wakefield in Boston. Gurtler started his real estate career with the Trammell Crow Company (formerly Fallon Hines & O'Connor) in 1996 before joining Jones Lang LaSalle in 2006 as a SVP. An office leasing and investment sales specialist, Gurtler will continue to work in his specialty areas of office tenant representation, landlord representation and investment sales. Specifically, he will work—as he had been doing before—on the Route 128 inner and outer suburban office and R&D markets.

Gurtler also intends to work outside of Massachussets, if and when such work is needed by his clients, he tells GlobeSt.com. “I will continue to do national and international work for my corporate clients. Your relationships with your tenants take you all over.”
