McShane Completes LUCHA Renovations

CHICAGO—The McShane Construction Company has just completed a comprehensive renovation of the Borinquen Bella Apartments on behalf of their owner, Latin United Community Housing Association. The Rosemont-based firm did extensive exterior and interior renovation work on 47 multi-family rental units with a total of 62,896-square-feet in four scattered site residential buildings in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood, transforming them into affordable and modern apartments.

The job included the installation of new roofs, windows, doors and tuckpointing. McShane also upgraded the interior units with new flooring, fixtures, appliances, lighting, and interior paint to meet today’s residential standards. The four separate scattered site properties offer a combination of one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plan configurations for both individuals and families.
