MIAMI—Florida has emerged as a top international market for Jones Lang LaSalle, so it makes sense that the company would bring in a seasoned veteran as the new market director for the Sunshine State. Doug Irmscher has joined the firm to oversee its business lines across all major markets in the state.

Most recently, Irmscher served as senior vice president at Duke Realty Corp. in Central Florida, where he was responsible for the overall profitability and operations of the company's Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville commercial real estate portfolios. During his 19 years at Duke, Irmscher held a series of development, leasing, and marketing roles and developed more than 3 million square feet of office and industrial projects in Florida.

“Doug has a strong track record in working with clients to meet their real estate needs with more than 20 years of industry experience and a deep knowledge and understanding of the Florida marketplace,” says Dave McGarry, managing director for JLL's Markets East. “Throughout his career, he has excelled on both the transactional and development sides of the business and has played an instrumental role in growing commercial real estate portfolios in the state. He is a natural leader and will fit in well with JLL's collaborative culture.”
