I'm not religious in the slightest, but wasn't there a story in the Bible about the problems with worshipping a golden idol? And isn't it interesting that the latest iPhone news is that the model will be available in gold?

I rest my case.

However, being that this blog focuses on new technology and new developments, I felt that this development could not go without comment – or at least a blog entry. And so, there are many rumors floating around the internet right now that the coming iPhone which will be the 5S. I hear everyone – myself included – whining “well, I just got the 5.” The truth of the matter is that there is nothing wrong with the 5. Or the 4. Or even, really, the 3 except that the technology and network capibilities are somewhat older (trust me, it got to the point where making calls was an exercise in patience, but I digress.)This new model is just to get people to buy another Apple product and with the introduction of a new feature, the gold color, people will buy this item.

You can take a look at a video of what is rumored to be the coming iPhone here and here.

Take note of the fact there's also an iPhone 5C coming, according to the leaks, and it will be of a lower cost than the 5S. This might be good for newer companies, or executives hoping to get more company phones for its staff.

The 5S, on the other hand, sources say will have an even better camera, fingerprint scanning technology and, of course, will be offered in gold.

Personally, I still can't believe or wrap my head around or want to purchase the data plan to find out just what my iPhone can do. (I mean, watching the odd video is great, but I don't have the time or energy for 18 million apps, and I value keeping my head up straight while walking down the street, in pleasant conversation or riding the subway.

Will you get the new iPhone? And, quite honestly, why??
